The first stage of cultivating castor seeds is seed preparation. This involves several steps to ensure successful germination and healthy plant growth:  1. Seed Selection: Choose healthy, plump seeds that are free from pests and diseases. Discard any seeds that are discolored, shriveled, or damaged.  2. Seed Treatment: To protect the seeds from soil-borne diseases, treat them with a fungicide. This can be done by soaking the seeds in a fungicide solution for a specified time.  3.  Seed Scarification: Castor seeds have a hard outer coat that can hinder germination.
